Breastfeeding Support

As a certified breastfeeding consultant, I am available for postpartum and prenatal breastfeeding support. I can provide prenatal breastfeeding information, how best to prepare for breastfeeding and how to prevent common breastfeeding concerns/issues before they begin, before your baby is born.

In addition, I can provide home breastfeeding support after baby is born if you are having difficulties latching, are concerned baby isn’t “getting enough”, if you are concerned you are not producing “enough” milk, and/or any other common concerns around breastfeeding:

• Nursing “strikes”
• Incorrect latch
• Night time nursing
• Fussy baby
• Inconsistent nursing
• How long “should” baby be at the breast?
• Soothing
• ...to name a few.

My fees are $30/hour with a minimum of a 2 hour call out, within the downtown Toronto area. Should you be outside the immediate Toronto area, an additional travel fee may be applied.

PostPartum Doula Services

As a postpartum doula, I can provide postpartum care in your home during the day. This care involves helping you to adjust to life with new baby, helping you to understand your newborn’s needs and cues, help you to understand the “fourth trimester” and how that can impact your relationship with your newborn. Postpartum care may involve breastfeeding support, may involve light housekeeping, shopping and/or cooking. I can also provide a much needed massage, shoulder to lean on, or a friend to talk to about changes happening for you, your partner and/or your relationship. A new baby in a home is a transition that affects everyone and I can help provide support adjusting during this challenging and yet amazing period. I can also just be there to look after baby so that you can get out for some much needed “mom” time on your own or stay with baby while you take an uninterrupted nap.

My fees are $25/hour with a minimum of a 2 hour call out, within the downtown Toronto area. Should you be outside the immediate Toronto area, an additional travel fee may be applied. Unfortunately, I am not available for night time care.
